Susan Yamada is a seasoned entrepreneur and fierce proponent of business education. Since taking over the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) & E-Business last June, she has added new programs and strengthened PACE's existing ones by reengaging the local business community. Susan spent 17 years working in senior management positions at various entrepreneurial start-up companies in California and Hawaii, including CEO and publisher of Upside Magazine, TRUSTe, VEO Systems and Get2Hawaii. She also heads the Yamada Scott Family Foundation, which has awarded $250,000 to students and community organizations since 2000. She serves as a mentor and investor in various start-up companies in Hawaii and currently serves on the board of directors for several community programs including the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii and KCAA Preschools.
