Nancy's passion is working to improve the lives of the poorest of the poor- the least reached peoples of the world. Since 2001 she has worked in the prisons in Thailand, delivered food to the refugees from the Hill Tribes along the Burmese border, organized and led medical teams to care for the AIDS widows and orphans in the most remote areas of the bush in Kenya and Ethiopia and most recently she traveled to Nigeria to vaccinate the people of the communities of Kano, Kaduna and Zaira in Nigeria against the Polio virus. Nancy's reach extends globally and locally; she serves on numerous boards including Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health (past president), Foundation of the Rotary Club of Honolulu (past president), The Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, the Advisory board of the Salvation Army, the Board of The American Cancer Society, Global Hope Network International and she chairs her church’s Global Outreach Team where she oversees 20 global missionaries. Internationally, Nancy has served on the United Nations Speakers Bureau for the International Year of the Volunteer, on the Executive Committee of the Association of Junior Leagues International, and as Past President of the Junior League of Honolulu. Nancy received her BA from Vassar College, her Masters of Science in Public Health from Harvard University and her MD from the University of Cincinnati.
